Our Impact

Who is OzHarvest ?

Staff

The staff comprise of our Founding Director, Executive Assistant, General Manager, a Logistics Manager, a Volunteer Coordinator, 6 full-time drivers and several casual drivers. Day-to-day running of the organisation is also supported by volunteers. The staff ensure that OzHarvest continues to operate smoothly and efficiently.

Volunteers

OzHarvest is supported by an active group of volunteers.

Our volunteers:

  • ride with the drivers and help with the collection and distribution of food;
  • provide specialised support including graphic design, photography and marketing expertise to name a few;
  • help us to source food donors;
  • provide support in the office;
  • help out at special events and on special projects.

OzHarvest is in a unique position in that we have strong relationships with our financial donors and the charities we support. We have developed a volunteer support program which brings our volunteers and employees of our donors together with sharing food at the heart. The program includes:

  • producing care packages to deliver to those in need;
  • hosting buffets at recipient charities which bring residents and communities together;
  • helping out at events organised by charities;
  • assisting with various other events including Homeless Persons Week and performances by the Choir of Hard Knocks and the Sydney Street Choir.
